WEEK ONE - Bentley 4 1/4, Chassis B160 LS, coachwork by Crosbie and Dunn of Birmingham. The car had been in America since the 60's. From what can be made out from some old photos that arrived with the car, after being found in a field, the front end of the bodywork was rebuild with the main body off; presumably due to be made into a special of some kind. The original Crosbie and Dunn body was later returned. (Thankfully, for as far as we know, out of the 2 Derby Bentleys Crosbie and Dunn bodied, this is the only one left. The other was a 3 1/2, B82 AH, no records exist). The previous owner had the car from the mid 60s, never touched the chassis and replaced much of the body's woodwork. The chassis remains complete and incredibly untouched! The bright green paint that has been applied all over it has at least helped in preservation.
